There is mail and miscellany from all corners. Our exploding times! (That’s the subject of an upcoming online retreat.)
Let’s start with spiritual warfare.
We had an article last week on how objects can harbor elements of darkness or the preternatural.
Commented viewer Mary Fazio: “I read your piece on objects bringing in spirits to your house. Being a Greek Orthodox Christian, this is why we have the priest bless our house every year with the Holy Water from the Epiphany service. I can tell you objects can definitely carry spirits with them. Many years ago, my mom’s friend told her how weird things were happening in her house. Pictures would fall off the walls, things would fall off tables, she’d hear strange sounds, etcetera.
“She called a priest to bless her house and when he threw Holy Water on a statue someone gave her, it cracked in half! It was probably used in some cult ritual or something, unbeknownst to the friend that got it as a souvenir on vacation for her. We have to be aware of these things and always pray for protection.”
Amen. Bless your home, especially during Lent, often.
Added Kathleen Hunter of Columbia, South Carolina: “I take this very seriously. We are a devoutly Catholic family. We home-schooled using Seton and my daughter graduated from Franciscan University and my son goes there currently. We have unfortunately been aware of the spiritual world and the world needs to know the truth.
“In response to the article: Several years ago I bought a Bulova clock on Amazon. It was beautiful and sat on our mantle. It chimed every hour the same chime. However, I started noticing in the middle of the night the chime was waking me up to a screeching, out-of-tune melody. I thought I was not hearing it correctly because I had been sleeping and not quite awake.
“Always through the day the chime returned to normal and always in the middle of the night it returned to an odd out-of-tune song. I started asking my children if they were hearing this and they dismissed it saying I had just ‘heard’ things. I even looked the clock up on Bulova’s website to make sure the clock didn’t play different tunes.
“Then one night, my son woke up in the middle of the night to the out of tune, eerie music. He was terrified. We threw the clock away.”
If you can do it safely, burn such items; do use Holy Water. Blessed incense can also greatly help cleanse a home.
“You mentioned on a recent blog that you would not recommend people to watch a specific video of [Jeffrey] Epstein during which he is asked is he Satan,” wrote Michael O’Grady of Ireland. “As you said, there was evil heat coming from that video.
“I experienced the exact same thing. I cannot watch any videos of Epstein. I immediately can sense absolute evil from them. A burning type of evil and wickedness, along with the words: ‘illuminati.’”
Imagine what the objects in his homes might harbor.
